I am an Associate Professor and the Ph.D. Program Director in the Department of Political Science at Auburn University, as well as the Program Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organizations & Community Governance. I earned my Ph.D. in political science, as well as a Masters in Public Administration, from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Before beginning an academic career, I worked with a wide range of nonprofit organizations, both domestic and international, and I have applied experience in nonprofit management and governance, leadership, capacity building, resource development, volunteer and event management, proposal writing, and impact evaluation.
